Good care for the first teeth
A new and exciting step in your baby’s development has occurred: The first little tooth is coming through. Since mother’s milk and infant formula contain carbohydrates, it is important to begin with dental hygiene as soon as the first teeth appear. When you see signs of the first teeth coming through, you can gently massage the spot with your finger. Later on, when the first white tip of the tooth appears, cotton swabs may be helpful. When the tooth has fully appeared, you may apply a small amount of tooth gel. If your baby happens to swallow a bit, it is completely harmless, for we have made sure that the tooth gel contains nothing that could harm your baby. When more little teeth start appearing, always clean them from red to white, i.e. from the gums to the teeth.
Don't give caries a chance
Apart from tooth brushing, you can support the dental health of your child by following a few simple rules. For example, it is important not to let your baby suck on a bottle permanently. Avoid sweet juices if possible and let your baby drink water or unsweetened tea instead. It is a matter of course to brush your baby’s teeth at least twice a day (mornings and evenings).
What's in the tooth gel?
Our tooth gel is neutral in colour and taste out of consideration for the child’s sensitive perception. It also facilitates tooth brushing for you and your child. Moreover, we have deliberately not used fluoride, in order to avoid an overdose if the baby is receiving fluoride in tablet form at the same time.
Natural silica reduces plaque very gently, without damaging the dental enamel. Xylit has a caries preventing effect. Our tooth gel is homeopathy compatible, because free of Menthol.
