Little ones love pampering care

From the very first day, babies enjoy being pampered: communicating with you, being massaged, playing, or cuddling – let your imagination run free. We have drawn up a few suggestions for you. If you would like more information, your midwife can help you, or you can ask your local family centre, the adult education facilities and other similar institutions.

Pampering made to order

Even the smallest little ones enjoy a massage with a high-quality oil, which nurtures the skin, like our Babycare skin oil. The ideal time for a massage is after the bath. Look for a warm quiet place and warm the oil in your hands a little. And then you start; your baby will let you know what it likes and what not. Particularly babies with stomach problems relax well when they are given a gentle massage on their stomachs.

Up and outside

Whether in a baby sling or baby buggy – a walk in the fresh air does mother and baby good. Remember to apply sun cream to your baby’s skin carefully if the sun is shining brightly.  For example, with our sun cream, which exclusively functions with a mineral light protection filter out of pigments. These are spread over the surface of the skin and reflect the light like minute, invisible mirrors. This mechanical sun protection works immediately after application as opposed to chemical sun protection and is therefore ideally suited for sensitive children’s skin.

Off to the paediatrician

It is very important to make use of the so-called U-examinations with your child. The mental and physical development is extremely quick in the first year and it is particularly important to recognize health problems at an early stage and to treat them in good time. U1 is carried out directly after birth, U2 between the 3rd and 10th day – either in the hospital or at your paediatrician. Incidentally, the final U-examination takes place between the 12th and 14th year, followed by the J-examinations.
